In 2011 we had two special presentations during Show hours.

• Gannon & Benjamin presented a film “Charlotte” on both Friday and Saturday from 3–4:30 p.m.. This film is a documentary about the extraordinary boatyard, the Gannon & Benjamin Marine Railway, and Nat Benjamin’s construction of a 50 foot gaff rigged schooner for use by his family and friends. Through close observation of the everyday activities of the boatyard, the film works as a meditation on tradition, craftsmanship, family, community, and the love of the sea.
• Bill Doyle presented a film on the restoration of AMORITA, a Herreshoff NY-30. After her accident in 2007, AMORITA has been extensively rebuilt by MP&G of Mystic, CT, and will be making her first public appearance during the 2011 WoodenBoat Show.
