Interlux and the WoodenBoat Show would like to congratulate Gary Stephenson of Ballston Spa, NY whose Great Adirondack canoe won the 2011 “I Built it Myself” Award from Interlux.

The 21st Annual WoodenBoat Show will once again showcase a crowd favorite: I Built It Myself.

If you’ve built a trailerable wooden boat that you’d like to show, we would love to hear from you! This land-based display of home-built boats will be located on and surrounding the Village Green at Mystic Seaport, June 29-July 1, 2012. There is no entry fee for the I Built It Myself exhibit, but you must be willing to discuss your wooden boat project with attendees. In the past we've had up to 50 beautifully crafted boats and proud owners/builders. The collection has included kayaks, skiffs, daysailers, canoes, and much more by a variety of designers such as Iain Oughtred, Joel White, Chesapeake Light Craft, Arch Davis, and William & John Atkin. This exhibit always offers plenty of inspiration!

Entry Rules:

  1. All boats must have a wooden hull.
  2. Boat must NOT be for sale.
  3. Boat and builder must attend all three days of the show.
