Show Boats of Interest
Board Power, Sail & Much More
The Concordia Company will bring the beautiful Concordia Yawl #85 Arapaho. Originally built in 1961 by Abeking and Rasmussen, this past winter she received many new floors & frames with bronze sisters, a new holding tank, stove, and galley modifications.
The 64-foot Ragtime was built in 1928 by Consolidated Shipbuilding Corporation and totally rebuilt in 1990 by Boothbay Region Boatyard, who is bringing this outstanding vessel to the show. She carried her original owner to work in Manhattan from Long Island until conscripted for 3 1/2 years service during World War II. After the war she was returned to the family of her original owner and has served as a private yacht for seven different owners since. A photo of Ragtime appears at the top of this newsletter.

Ride the Free Shuttle
Necessity shuttles visitors from one end of the Mystic Seaport property to the other for free all day. It leaves every 15 minutes, giving people a great way to get from one end to the other, to see the place from the water, and to enjoy a short boat ride.
Take a Water Taxi to Town
The water taxi Liberty transports visitors from the south end of Mystic Seaport to downtown Mystic for $2.50 each way. It departs from the Mystic dock at the bottom of each hour and provides a great way to get downtown to dine or shop.
Enjoy a Half-Hour Afloat
Sail with a licensed captain on board the 20-foot Crosby catboat Breck Marshall for just $5. Take a 30-minute cruise aboard Resolute, the restored 26-foot 1917 Herreshoff launch for just $4. Twenty traditional small craft from Mystic Seaport’s collection are available for rent to qualified boaters. Rowboats start at $10 for 30 minutes and sailboats are $15 per hour.
